Jean-Marc Talbot received his Master (DEA) from the university of Orléans in 1994 and his PhD from the university of Lille 1 in 1998, both in computer science. After a two-years Post-Doc at the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik (Saarbrücken - Germany), he got an assistant professor (Maître de Conférences) position at the university of Lille 1. He received his habilitation in computer science in 2005. He is now professor at the university of Provence.
