The
Journées Statistiques du Sud is a workshop gathering statisticians,
coming mainly from the Universities of Barcelona, Marseille
(Aix-Marseille 1), Nice, Toulouse (Toulouse 3) and Montpellier
(Montpellier 2). Meeting activities include two mini-courses and
various talks given by outstanding researchers. It aims at stimulating
join works between scientists of our area and disseminating the latest
developments of statistics, focusing on a selected topic of intensive
research in the past few years.
The 2009 edition is held by the University Aix-Marseille 1 and will take place at Porquerolles, a nice island located near the city of Hyères.
The topic of the 2010 edition is Multiple Testing and F.D.R., Universal Selection and Oracle and Empirical Likelihood.
